Henri Martel
Slow Wine Press Kit
Somewhere drowned between a slow, melting melancholy and a haze of sexual ecstasy lives the music of Henri Martel. His soundscapes and textures draw heavily from Blues, Jazz, Rnb, Gospel, and Pop while fusing and bending within them influences from genres all over the spectrum.
“Slow Wine” explores self destruction as escapism from the realities of regret and alienation. The song juxtaposes the honesty of the toxicity of that behavior to those closest to the narrator with the ardent addiction to the escape that behavior provides.
The song samples vocals from Lido’s “Postclubridehomemusic” turning the original’s psychedelic vibe into a dark reflection on inner demons.
Henri is preparing to release more music in the coming months starting with a few later this month.
